Queensrÿche Q2K

1999: Queensrÿche recorded their seventh studio album Q2K, despite the loss of founding guitarist Chris DeGarmo, their management group and record company.

April 2006: Operation: Mindcrime II released.

August 29th: Rhino Records releases a remastered and expanded version of Q2K, with previously unreleased material. The iTunes version of the album features an interactive booklet with the exclusive video for "The Right Side Of My Mind."

August/September/October:

The band performs an extensive tour with an epic live show featuring a full stage production, including surround sound, video imagery, and actors playing out both parts of the Operation: Mindcrime saga in their entirety. Presented by VH1 Classic in partnership with Buell Motorcycles to raise money for charity during the band’s US tour.
Singer Geoff Tate comments on their rock and ride across America for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation: “As a band, we’ve always believed in music’s profound power to change lives,” Tate explains. “Personally, music has always been my saving grace because it’s given me a positive way to express my emotions. This charity ride along is a simple way for me to make sure that a new generation will have the same opportunities through music that I had.”
