The Gala Premiere of LOVE - Beatles in Vegas

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Barbara, Dhani and Olivia Harrison, Julian and Cynthia Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Sir George Martin with his son Giles Martin, came together in Las Vegas last Friday for the debut of LOVE, a new multi-million production by Cirque du Soleil, Apple Corps Ltd. and The Mirage in Las Vegas.

It's amazing that five years after the passing of George Harrison, the LOVE project was fully realized and developed from his friendship with Guy Laliberté, who founded Cirque du Soleil.

LOVE is set to a 90-minute continuous Beatles soundtrack remixed by the band's original producer, Sir George Martin, and his son Giles. By remixing old mastertapes, including out-takes and unreleased material, the Martins have effectively created new songs. Among the new creations are several mash-ups: new Beatle tunes created by mixing together elements of several songs.
Apple Corps Ltd. is planning to release The LOVE album through EMI Music later this year.

The Gala Premiere was last Friday, June 30th. You have to see these pictures for yourself, because I have never seen this group of people together before, ever. I haven't felt this level of excitement about the Beatles music since the Concert for George in 2002.
