Ringo's All Starr band rocks Nokia Theatre

Ringo's 9th All Starr band features Rod Argent on keyboards (Zombies in the 60's & Argent in the 70's,) Richard Marx on rhythm guitar, Sheila E. on drums and percussion, Billy Squier on lead guitar, Edgar Winter on keyboards and saxophone, and Hamish Stuart on bass (formerly with Average White Band & Paul McCartney's Wings.) Everybody sings in this band, baby!
Of course, Ringo did his usual standards like "Yellow Submarine," "Boys," "I Wanna Be Your Man," "Act Naturally," and "Photograph," but his tribute to George Harrison called "Never Without You" was a real highlight of the night. He always closes his shows "With A Little Help From My Friends," and the entire audience is up on their feet, swaying back and forth in time with the music.
Ringo and his 9th All Starr band was like a hit parade of the 60's, 70's and 80's...
Rod Argent did "She's Not There" (his first hit with the Zombies) and "Hold Your Head Up" (from his 70's band Argent...)
Richard Marx took us back to the 80's with "Sheila" and a couple other songs I recognized, but can't remember the titles...
Sheila E. played an awesome DW drumset, did a couple of her solo songs, including some masterful drumming on marimbas, and performed an outstanding drum solo with Edgar Winter on "Frankenstein..."
Billy Squier did a great cover of Robert Johnson's "Ramblin on my Mind" with just his Les Paul guitar, along with some blues piano by Edgar Winter...plus a couple of his solo hits...
Edgar Winter performed "Frankenstein" started on keyboards, then sax, then drums, and finished on synthesizer...he also did a wonderful classical piece that finished as a soulful gospel song. Wish I could remember the title, but it was really great.
Hamish Stuart played bass and sang backup vocals. You remember him from some of the Wings tours with Paul McCartney. He was also a big part of the Average White Band in the 70's.
Peace and Love, Ringo! You're doing great for 65, mate!
