Big Brother & the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin

It was their debut album, released late that year. The one song I remember from it is "Down On Me," which featured the amazing vocals of Janis Joplin. The band's outstanding performance at the Monterey Pop Festival drew international attention to this emerging star, but their next album Cheap Thrills was the big one that busted out the "ol' ball and chain."
