Ramblings on my mind for Thursday December 21st, 2006

Eric Clapton and J.J. Cale talk about their new album The Road to Escondido...New interviews are online at www.whereseric.com/news and at the AT&T Blue Room - goto Interviews on this page...blueroom.att.com/mainstage/index.php.

Aaron Lewis with Staind talks about their new greatest hits album The Singles: 1996-2006... @ the AT&T Blue Room - goto Interviews on this page...blueroom.att.com/mainstage/index.php.

I've stumbled (again) across a couple of cool new music blogs...I had to add 'em both to my RSS reader when they mentioned Neil Young's new Archive Album Release Series and his biography Shakey, which is a national bestseller...

I mention Mickey Hart here for a couple of reasons, but mainly because he's so much more than just a drummer. This past year he toured with both his Planet Drum project, and his Rhythm Devils Tour. If you're into percussion, then you must own his books Planet Drum and Drumming at the Edge of Magic...www.mickeyhart.net/Pages/news.html

Speaking of drummers, when did they get this good, this young?

Some other interesting Google Videos:
John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell in the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus...video.google.com/videoplay?docid=912375689786125846&sourceid=searchfeed

John Lennon and Bob Dylan take a backseat... video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3178373884721062371&sourceid=searchfeed

Oh, and finally, Keith Richards just celebrated his 63rd birthday. Is it just me, or does he look alot older than that ten years ago? Can I find any picutres online of him without a cigarette dangling from his mouth? Will AARP sponsor the next Stones tour and will it be called the Steel Wheelchair tour? Nevermind these random questions, Keith wouldn't care. The most recent Stones tour grossed about half a billion dollars.

Yeah, billion with a B. It's only rock and roll, but I like it.
