A 1968 Fender Stratocaster in sunburst finish owned by Jimi Hendrix 1969-1970 sold for $168,000
A rare page of working lyrics in Paul McCartney's hand for Maxwell's Silver Hammer, 1968, went for $192,000
A rare and important notebook belonging to Neville Garrick, former Art Director to Bob Marley And The Wailers, 1974-1981, containing lyrics and set lists in Bob Marley's hand was sold for $72,000.
It's amazing how an item can vary between estimated value and actual worth...for example, a framed Led Zeppelin album cover autographed by all four band members was estimated between $600 to $800, and was actually sold for $10,800!
