The first-ever best-of Jane's Addiction compilation, 'Up From The Catacombs,' comes out this week.
'Up From The Catacombs' brings together sixteen songs from all five of the band's domestic albums including their live, self-titled debut; 'Nothing's Shocking;' 'Ritual De Lo Habitual;' the rarities collection 'Kettle Whistle' and the band's reunion album, 'Strays,' released in 2003.
It's Perry Farrell on vocals, Dave Navarro on guitar, Eric Avery on bass, and Stephen Perkins on drums; the new collection features two tracks with bassist Chris Chaney, who replaced Avery in 2003.
The group retired in 1991 after organizing a traveling summer festival, Lollapalooza, for it's farewell tour. A rite of summer for seven years, Lollapalooza was triumphantly resurrected in 2003 for Jane's Addiction's reunion tour.
