Two Sides of the Moon

Sanctuary Records and Castle Music have re-released the one and only solo album by Keith Moon, recorded in 1975. It's been expanded from it's original ten songs into a double CD of fifty tracks and outtakes. This is one CD where the credits are definitely worth reading.

The list of guest artists reads like a who's who of rock and roll...Ringo Starr, Rick Nelson, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Danny Kootch, Spencer Davis , Joe Walsh, Jesse Ed Davis, Ron Wood, Patti Quatro, John Sebastian, Dick Dale, Bobby Keys, Jay Ferguson, David Foster, Klaus Voorman, Jimmie Randall, Jim Keltner, (girl group) Fanny, Jay Ferguson, and Flo and Eddie.

Produced by Steve Cropper, Skip Taylor, and John Stronach, and digitally remastered by Jon Astley and Andy Macpherson. Mal Evans handled much of the original seventies production.

Noteworthy tracks are the Who classic "The Kids Are Alright", and the Beach Boys ballad "Don't Worry Baby."

Premier Percussion Ltd. is also producing a limited edition of the famous "Pictures of Lily" drumkit that the company made for Keith Moon in 1967. Most of his original kit is stored at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
