Theory of a Deadman

My kids turned me on to another new band, Theory of a Deadman. Not pushing the metal edge on one side or the pop trash on the other, these guys lead out with a good mixture of hooks and harmonies.

A lot of people compare them to Nickelback, although Nickleback tends to have a little darker edge to their sound. They were the first band signed on 604 Records, the label founded by Chad Kroeger and Jonathan Simkin and maybe that explains the comparison they get to Nickelback.

Theory Of A Deadman was nominated for two Juno Awards, Group Of The Year and Rock Album Of The Year. The band has also been nominated for a MuchMusic Video Award in the People's Choice category for Favorite Canadian Group.
