The Waybacks
The Waybacks are an acoustic folk rock band that jump all over the musical genre map. I found them while browsing through tribe.net looking at drum circles.Their refreshing mix of styles remind me of something like Jethro Tull meets Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. Sounds strange, I know, but give 'em a listen and you'll be pleased at what you hear.
I sampled some of their latest album "From the Pasture to the Future" at itunes.com.
They jammed with Bob Weir at this year's Merlefest. There's a great review of the festival at jambase.com.
