Today, April 14th is Ritchie Blackmore's birthday.Ritchie Blackmore and his band, Blackmore´s Night, have released their new album "Village Lanterne." He and his partner, vocalist Candice Night, delve deeper into their love of medieval music, without sacrificing Blackmore's original style.
Blackmore doesn't deny his rock roots, but weaves them into unique form of creative expression, combining melodic vocals and virtuoso guitar patterns. You can hear some very interesting instrumentation as well, which just goes to show that Blackmore and company continue to develop their own artistic process.
Their new album "Village Lanterne" is now available!
Blackmore's Night "Castles & Dreams" concert DVD was filmed in a German castle and also contains TV performances, video clips, and interviews.
